Wheel cleaner

Recommended Posts

As above, Bilberry pro concentrate. I use it at 10:1 and it will shift anything.

It is non acid based too so is kind to your wheels.

Don't use wonder wheels - will eat through the laquer.

I think bilberry is acidic, if so it will void your wheel warranty.

For non acidic, the best ive found is this from autobrite

If they are looking grubby you will probably also need to clay them back with autoglym clay , then polish and seal.

Washing alone may not bring out the ingrained brake dust.

Take them off, bilberry, clay and then seal them with Poorboys wheel sealant and then it's just case of a wash at wash time.

I redo my summers every year when I swap over to my winters but on my previous Subaru, where I didn't swap the wheels and tyres, the above lasted a good 18 months before needing re-doing.

Yeah it takes a while to do but worth it.

Bilberry is non acidic so will not damage the wheels, clay the wheels as said, then a good clean and a decent sealent and jobs a goodin! Easy peasy :) i also do the calipers on the vrs with a clay and wash then seal seein as theyr painted, works wonders to keep the brake dust away
