Was a warmish -4 today, although this time the back roads had an interesting layer or white ice on them.

I think that'll probably be quite nasty when it's polished up later.

Seen -2 here but I'm not moaning. Friend of mine lives within the arctic circle and has already seen less than -30. Might be going over their soon as its still snowboarding season

About -10 today out on helvellyn, my lucozade and water bottle froze! Plus the wind chill artic! Got some good clear photos though.

My bad for not reading the thread title.

Had a similar reading (-14.5) that same year down here on the South Coast. Was driving from Winterbourne Abbas to Bridport to do relief milking. When the temperature hit that I started to brick it as I thought the parlour was going to be froze up but that strecth of raod out of Winterbourne is notorious for low temps in cold weather and by the time I got to work it had climbed to a balmy -7.

The temperature tonight is to be very low,

then Fridays snow will be interesting.
