Nice Car Appreciation thread

Featured Replies

Hi folks,

Thought I'd start this topic to see what the folks of Briskoda envy!

Ideally would like to see peoples' cars that you actually know etc.

Ok, so starting this off is:

This car is local to me and it's unbelievable, every time I see it I am left drooling.... Literally!

Let's see what you've got!

You win. Close thread

JUN R1 has already had another JUN engine and also recently did the gearbox.

Big power is not cheap...

No idea what I envy, nothing springs to mind.

Yeah, so I heard... I can't remember the story behind it.

I doubt that there is much you envy, ALL of your cars are awesome. You always make a brilliant job of them :)

There can be only one...

Edit.. forgot to add.

An old friend of mine has one of these. It only ever gets driven twice a year.

Once for the MOT and the second time to Monaco or wherever for the annual E Type owners meet.

When it gets home he puts it over his garage pit and spends hours underneath with a dusting brush and cleaning products.

Fastidious is an understatement.

Mind you the car is concours condition and worth a mint.

I've never liked how they look, but my god I'd have one if I could afford it! If forza is anything to go by, they are definitely a great laugh to thrash about in, and they just don't let go of the road

Ah! He lives!

I love everything about them. True skunkworks car- bits of contemporary Sierra in an ocean of Ghia styling and rally aggression. Atrocious Cd rating- 0.41 rings a bell!!- but insanely capable, rare and they look like nothing else.

"There he goes, one of God's own prototypes. Some kind of high-powered mutant, never even considered for mass production. Too weird to live, and too rare to die."

That Tesla looks a little bit like a civic from the side.

I saw one of the sporty teslas drive past once and that was really nice

I'll Have one of these please

I`ll go with the original post of the cars being mates/people you knows cars. There is a few cars I really like, but wouldnt really want to own myself. I just appreciate them for the work and effort that has been put into them.

First is this fetching Leon Cupra R, the Ibiza Cupra is quite nice too . .

Leon is just a lush all round car, love the colour too. The Ibiza is also nice, 250 odd bhp (diesel) Next up is a pair of Unit 18 built cars . .

Alistairs S13 & a mates S14. Both uncompromising track cars, both had a huge amount of blood sweat and tears go into them. Looking forward to some track sessions next year with these guys.

Another Unit 18 built car, started out as a 328i coupe, now running a E46 M3 engine on full standard management and full power. Again, all out track setup, stunning car.

Slightly more realistic/road use cars, my mates 2010 Octavia vRS estate is rather nice, I`d love one as a daily. Alistairs E46 M3 is also lush. A friends cousin has a S3 which I also like. The in-laws have a pre-facelift C220 Merc, again, would love as a daily, although maybe in Auto form.

Depressingly I think my wifes GTD is the nicest car out of all the people we know.

I do have a customer who I know quite well who has a Brand new Porsche 911, an original AM Vanquish, A Range Rover and a VW Amarok for driving around his estate.

matt1chelski, isn't that an Ibiza FR, certainly looks like an FR bumper? i've seen ali struggle to get into the red BMW, and he's mostly wippet!

mate down the road has a Carlton estate running a 300bhp+ LET and thunder saloon(?) geometry setup. hand painted in camo. not nice nice but hugely amusing

Assume he meant the black one further down ;)

Sorry, your right, I always forget its a FR. Although, I cant tell the difference :bandit: How`d you tell them apart?

the fog light area is just different although unless you see them side-by-side they're pretty damn similar to be fair, which is weirdly kinda why I know they're different - it just bugs me how much like a Cupra SEAT made the FR look :|

Ahhh, I thought it was around that area but the pictures on google I was looking at wasn't clear enough. They only used them bumpers for the late FR's though didn't they? All the friends I know with them are 2007 cars.

2006 - 2008 for the facelift.
