Pre FL Aircon Climatronic needs to be colder.

Hi Guys

Since my octavia is black, it picks up a bit of heat in the sun and relies heavily on the aircon.

I took it in yesterday for an air-con service and the gas levels were okay, a little over what it should have had apparently. They measured air out the vents at about 5C on a day which was probably 22C.

I need colder than this.

On my other work car (japanese) I found the thermistor on the AC evaporator element and spliced into it with a four position switch and three difference resistances. These left me with four manual settings for the AC temperature. Std (about 10C with fans on full), cold (7C with fans on full), colder (4C with fans on full) and arctic blast (-2 with fans on full, even colder with fans on less).

First question, is there any adjustment on VCDS or similar to crank the AC temperature lower?

Second question, what is the control scheme for evaporator temperature? Is it a NTC thermistor and associated temperature switch like my other work car or something more complicated?
