Catch cans!

Featured Replies

I'm thinking of getting a catch can to finish up my ccv mod.

So I need pics! Please show me your set up and where you got them from and where you mounted them.

My temporary catch can is a little too pikey for my liking

Google translate couldn't find that language.

DH, can I just ask, what is a catch-can and a ccv mod?

Pikey elephant mod, have a search on the forum mate :)

Hundreds on ebay any of them will do the job. I recently bought one still havnt got around to fitting it but i will most likley put it to the left of the air intake.

ahhh that, I'd leave the intake alone, but I try to keep mine standard.

It's a form of English I'm sure :-)

Ccv mod is crank case venting mod. Basically stops oily vapours from being recycled through the air intake, leaving you with a clean egr!

Some people vent it to atmosphere but I don't want oil on the floor. So I need an oil catch can

This is why I like this forum!

I had no clue what was going on until that post.

Nice set up you got there kenny. What can/ pipe work is that?

clean bay or what! what products do you use buddy? sorry slightly off topic lol

Ive pressure washed my bay loads just make sure the car as been running and still running when doing it. So the engine is warm. Plus I've got a catch tank for sale.

I made 2 brackets, there's an M6 threaded hole at the bottom of the oil filter housing which 1 bracket bolts to. I removed the right hand pin for the engine cover which leaves another M6 thread for the second bracket. I bought the ebay catch can and secured it to the brackets with 2 hose clips.

Only one car ever hasn't started afterwards but after about 30 mins was fine again

Just make sure oil cap is I properly and coolent cap and all pipes are connected up and be careful on battery and fuse box

alot of cars ecu's are in the engine bay, my old 1.2 12v fabia for example. bad idea preassure washing the engine bays, just lazy!

What size is the inner diameter on your mini breather air filter and where did you get the L shaped metal connector pipe from??

Your drive belt looks a bit worn - sorry to be picky! But looks like it could do with replacing
