Good source for thermisto wheel?

Featured Replies

Thanks to a nice deep pothole, I have a wheel with a chunk taken out and the rim protector on one of the tyres split. I realise its not actually the sidewall that's damaged, but to be safe, I plan to change the tyre. Pain as it is only 2 months and a couple of K's old.

So I was thinking that I might as well get a new thermisto too, and then I can use take off wheel and tyre as an emergency spare.

So, best place to source one, as in cheapest. Obviously, local dealer is an option, but I suspect its the most expensive too.

Cheers

Steve

circa £160 from dealer, so not "too" bad....

Al.

Get it from the dealer and claim the money back from the council. I had to when a pothole put 4 holes in one of my tires. 5 people got caught in the same pothole. They really don't want to pay up, so you have to push it. You have to take a picture of the pothole and provide the receipts for the new tire and wheel, but I got my money in the end.

try skoda parts this is there number 0845 3377005

they are a lot cheaper than the dealer but still genuine parts.

£152 from skoda parts, which is operated by a main dealer chain BTW.

Up to 15% off on some items, I believe.........

If you are searching online, I hope this helps. When I searched for Thermisto I got nowhere, and realised there's no 'R' in it. They are Themisto. You may have more success spelling it like that. Once I did that I started seeing them on ebay, though I actually bought a set on here.

Thanks for the info everyone and correct spelling search tip too lowedb :) the Skoda parts price looks good, but when I add in delivery it's about the same as local dealer price from ukcruiser.

So it looks like I'll try local dealer first.

Thanks again Steve
