Cumbrian Run 2013

Saturday 11th and Sunday 12th May 2013

As has been for the last couple of years a weekend of driving some great roads, coupled with good company and some camping fun. A drive on the Saturday and Sunday including a meal stop or two and a visit to the Ice cream farm that's such a popular stop.

I shall post more details as the weeks pass regarding meeting points and the campsite location, routes and meal stops.

So if you're interested add your name to the list, and feel free to PM if you'd like any more info. Or search for the previous events.

Ok folks I've sorted the menu for the meal stop on the Saturday evening. A starter and a main course.

Choice of starter :

Soup of the day,

Garlic mushrooms,

Deep fried Brie.

Main :

Steak pie and chips,

Fish and chips.

I'm expecting it to be approx £10 a head.

So have a think please and let me know ASAP when you have decided. I'll send pm's out as well to confirm who is coming etc

there are numerous campsites, BUT the problem is its a family holiday destination... i.e no big groups (car clubs) no noise after 10pm, no cars on the field , no fires.. even NO BBQ's!! ect ect ...

good luck Ian! (what about a pub that will let people camp in a feild next door?! I know of 2.. both near penrith...)

This is sort of not on topic, but I just have to:

Curious as I am, I had to Google Cumbria and see what sort of place/area you are talking about having a meet (I might take a holiday in the UK/Scotland this year, like last year). Now, I'm not sure if this is a coincidence or not, but I swear that after dragging Google Street View's yellow man near a random lake, this is the first thing I see when 'looking out the back':

Skodas are everywhere. Loving it. :D
