Damn galaxy s3 update

Ah, as the others have said, I'm using a Nexus 4. I missed the point in the thread where it became apparent Samsungs had a custom keyboard, I thought they used the normal Android 4.x one (which is where the next word prediction was introduced, it wasn't in <4.x)

Tried it on my nexus 7 and found it isn't as good as SwiftKey.

There's a free trial version in the play store that's worth trying imo. It can be so accurate you often barely touch the keyboard. I tried swype but found it a pita and cumbersome to use.

I had the same problem...but found a keyboard called Touchpal...give it a try!

I love it. Can't deal with the swype stuff but its has that two..and has the T9 phonepad style keyboard as well.

Also punctuations are real easy compared to other keyboards i've tried...and its free!

The latest update is rubbish. Half the emoticons have gone from the symbol choice but most annoying of all is if you are typing a word it doesn't automatically correct your spelling mistakes - you have to select it from the predicted word area. I'm going to try downloading another keyboard as mentioned in this thread, I had no idea you would be able to do that - mad world!

Try the swift key free trial, seems really good and the auto correction is ace

That depends on a few factors, such as where you got your phone and does it have network branded software?

I just cant use predictive text but I do like using the swype funiction.

I had an galaxy S but upgraded to an S3 LTE (4g).

Am I missing something or can you only use swype if you have predictive text on????

Predictive text is driving me mad so i've reverted back to typing every s i n g l e letter instead of swype.

Can anyone offer an further gems of wisdom please?

I will check the downloading keyboard thing when I can get a wifi signal. Never thought you could download a new keyboard.
