Yeti L&K

The shadows, too, do not convince either!

It's almost like one of those "Spot the deliberate mistakes" competitions that used to feature in kids' comics years ago!

  • Lee (the Skoda one) , in light of the fact that I am a bit mad and have a Yeti plate I think Skoda should subsidise my upgrade... for publicity and photo purposes you understand.

  • As an owner of an Elegance with nearly every optional extra... F***!

  • I am a big fan of the Annapurnas and the Matterhorns.

... mmm, 7x16 fitted with what used to be called ballon tyres, rather than the rubber bands which seem de rigueur for everything now.

I agree with Johann: photoshopped. The give-away is that the back wheel is as big as the front (in pixels, that is) but should be smaller as it is further away from the viewpoint. That is why the front wheel looks almost credible and the back does not. Like a pre-Renaissance painter, this guy has not quite got the hang of perspective.

Well spotted - missed that!

Don't really see how it differs massively from the elegance based on what they've stated.

Indeed - they've just added in the stuff that was originally in Elegance spec and got removed - specifically the dimming driver side mirror.

I spoke to SUK the other day and asked them when the Yeti L&K would be available in the UK.

They said there were no plans to import it before the Yeti facelift in DECEMBER!

The shadows, too, do not convince either!

This is like the moon landings all over again.

FYI

Back in Nov 2012 the skoda UK car config site had the Yeti L&K as an option and there was also an "urban type" variation to choose from, not there anymore so perhaps the web site has been readied or maybe Skoda UK pulled back from the new variations to wait for the facelift?

Now available to order as of Monday.

Spec over Elegance is as follows (4x4 only):

  • Columbus sat-nav with DAB radio
  • Heated windscreen
  • Panoramic sunroof
  • Park assist
  • Black leather seats with L&K logos and silver stitching
  • Black small leather package with silver stitching
  • Black leather jumbo box with silver stitching
  • Three-spoke black multifunction leather steering wheel for radio and Bluetooth with silver stitching
  • Piano black inlays with L&K logo
  • L&K scuff plates
  • Floor mats with silver stitching

Exterior

  • 17-inch Annapurna polished alloy wheels
  • L&K inscription on front mudguards
  • Black side protective moulding with chrome ledge
  • Silver roof rails
  • Auto-dimming door mirror (driver only)

Sounds very nice spec.

That is a good spec indeed. I'd have one and immediately replace the naff piano black trim inside with silver, ditch the silver roof rails for black and replace the Annapurnas for black Matterhorns. Perfect Yeti!

Lee what will this cost over and above an Elegance? It must be less than adding a Columbus, sunroof, PA and the heated screen to an Elegance one would hope?

When it says Leather armrest etc Im guessing thats proper leather rather then the fake rubbish as fitted to the Elegance spec cars as standard? I like the sound of all of the above bar the wheels (not a fan of the design) and the gloss black inserts - the cabin materials are already dark enough imo. :) And finally, Columbus with DAB! :):)

Sorry, immature but I couldnt resist!

Having had a quick read it's £2,000 over a standard Elegance. I think I read the options are around £4,000, but will confirm.

Maybe it's just me but I quite like the black inserts and wheels - still each to their own and obviously the world would be a boring place if we all liked the same.

That IS great value then since just the Columbus on its own with PA will be over £2,000 on an Elegance I think. So the sunroof and heated screen are FREE!

3 engines which are:

1.8 TSI - £24,835

2.0 DSG - £26,400

170 - £25,980

Yes ditch the chrome and silver and replace those wheels for Moons :notme:

Although I'll keep the piano black, despite it being a mark and dust magnate.

Oh where's the 110 motor :'(

OH I can see Richard buying his FOURTH Yeti soon!

Other than the fact that both of ours probably dropped £2k with this announcement. :wonder:

Fortunately I like mine. A lot.

With Mum's and my cousin's it would be the Sixth. :giggle:
