Just wanted to let you know about this kit as people tend to avoid induction kits on the Fabia...

I have recently fitted the above and it's great. I went for this as the filter is encased to avoid sucking in too much hot air. It's definitely made a slight difference to power and the car pulls stronger (especially upwards of 110mph, lol). No official figures though. It's also improved the sound and you get a bit more turbo noise whistling back through the cone. When you switch the engine off and wait a second you get a great chatter as the turbo spools down : )

So yes a good kit, pricey but if you've got spare cash then it's worth while.

I have also gone for a mufflerectomy which I've been thinking about for a while but was a bit worried the noise might get a bit much. Wow, you'll never hear another diesel like it, it properly roars (Karl, hopefully I'll be showing you sometime soon). None of that owl type noise, just a mighty roar! It's also possible to keep it at a sensible volume making long journeys nice. So yes I am very happy.

Unfortunately no photos just yet but hopefully will be able to at some point soon. Need to get a video clip of the sound from the exhaust as well. Never heard anything that sounds like it : )

For Fabia vrs 1.9tdi

Performance increase: 15bhp @ 6900rpm*

6900 RPM! +15 BHP Sounds horrible

Considering even a mapped vrs the power trails off about 4200rpm and the fact i don't think a tdi will do 6900rpm .. That website you found sounds wrong lol. .

Would like to see pics tho,I've thought about a proper induction kit before but the price outweighs the gains so ain't bothered.

I'm tempted to do one using the Jetex cone!

Did you just chop the rear silencer off and re weld a pipe with your original tips on? how much dd it cost you if you don't mind saying?

This has been on here before, similar as the closed cone but retaining the stock airbox, people say you get a similar turbo sound too. A halfway choice!
