2nd Skoda, but only had the 1st for 3 days...

Hi all,

Just thought i'd say hello in here although i've posted a few bits and bobs on the Superb I sub-forum!

We had some ex-company cars that we used as pool cars where I used to work, drove various passats, audis, peugeots and Vauxhalls but when I took a Superb for a drive up to Middlesborough I was pretty much sold!

My 307 had done about 145000 so i was looking around for a decent Superb, however I sort of made a bit of an error of judgement and bought an 06 plate off ebay for 1900.

So, picked it up on the Tuesday and took it to Skoda in Hull for a full service on the Thurs, who told me it was a death-trap and the MOT that had been done 3 weeks before must have been dodgy for it to pass. Luckily the guy took it back, so I returned it on the Fri and got my money back.

I'd been keeping my eyes peeled for a good & fairly local Superb to pop up when the head gasket went on my 307 so had to sort a car pretty sharpish ( I live in Leicester but work in Hull).

Anyway, found a 55 plate Elegance model with 85000 on the clock, full service history, really good condition for £4800. I was familiar with the dealership (they sell Bentley's, ferrari's and other high performance cars, the Superb was a part ex on something, a Jag I think).

So, I've had it for about 3 weeks now and i love it, just got to get used to the increase in size over my 307!
