I have just had some new ap coilovers fitted to my octavia vrs 2002. When I went to pick it up it wasn't very low and I spoke to the garage they said that if I went lower on the wheels I have (18inch rs6 Audi 5 spokes) that it would rub.

I have lowered it more anyway and just wondered of anyone has had any problems with this!

nah mines lifted now, by about 40mm, handling is the way forward now, and low was not good for handling

You should be able to go quite low with the AP coil overs.

But going too low and even if you don't get rubbing the coil overs will suffer rebound issue and you can get a crashy type ride

AP coilovers are built in same factory in Germany as KW and Weitec which are all the same company. They are a good quality coilover

They are a cheaper version of Weitecs that share same spring poundage's and rate but different colour. The shock's do not have as good rebound from what I can tell as Weitecs, but don't let that put you off , you just can't lower crazy with them.
