My Fabia vRS at last [56k warning]

Featured Replies

It took a while but I picked it up from Autofinders Ltd on wednesday. Its got xenons, heated seats and the cruise control came free! First the ICE needs changing, although the sound quality isnt too bad for standard the actual stereo I find a pain to use. So better start saving for that.

Its got the seat creaking problem  and the left front speaker is buzzing a bit......Apart from that its bloody fantastic!

Nothing out of the ordinary:

For a comparison this is what I used to have, dont be fooled its only a 1.2 which was a slug with those 17's on :( But not too bad to look at :rubchin:

Good good.

Looks like the car i'm going to look at on Monday. Red 05 VRS. Dunno if the current owner ticked any of the other options boxes when he ordered it though...

Very nice mate, shiny Punto too :)

You might want to blank out your reg plates though.

Glad you ot what you wanted

Im just about to take delivery next week of a new vRS is black after downsizing from a TT  :(

So...before I get it...any tips or advice for me?

also....is there any real need to re-map the chip up to a higher bhp? Ive seen the ads and after driving the TT Im wondering if it's really a worthwhile exercise

Thanks guys

Only advice I can give is the 600 miles of running it in and keeping it to sensible revs ;) That and dont pull out to overtake thinking you've still got 225bhp under your right foot!

Im not planning on a remap just yet, maybe leave it for another year but its definately going to get done. The remap will give the car loads more torque and power and a smoother delivery of these?? Anyway im thinking of a modest remap for mine, when I do get it done. Angel tuning do a 170bhp remap, others like Jabba do 180bhp+, im leaning towards the 170bhp just because I think it will put less strain on the engine...???

Nice motor mate. Mine is 2 months old tomorrow, and done 4567 miles in it already

Good choice of options - only difference with mine is its black. Nearly got the red, but theres 2 near me and I wanted to be different! If they came with colour coded door handles it might have been a different choice.

I still have the seat creaking problem, rattle in the drivers door and occasional rattle from the gear lever in neutral. All to be sorted imminently...

Enjoy yourself mate!

Oh I am enjoying myself!! Thanks for that.

Do you know the cure for the seat creaking??! Its driving me mad......I was wondering if it was something to do with the heated seats?

Nice choice of colour Dave, The VRS looks the dogs in red.

I know what you mean about the standard cd I changed mine for a Clarion mp3 head unit this made a big difference to the sound, the standard speakers seem quite good but these will go as well shortly.

Have you considered fitting a full set of mud flaps they just give the final finishing touch. I can send you a pic if you want to see how they look.

Have fun with your new toy

Thanks Klippie, post a pic of your car up on here if you want :) I know the benefits of mud flaps in terms of less stone chips to the sills and bumpers but ive never really been a fan of what they look like on cars. Besides ive just shelled out 100quid for the roof rack (which is a really excellent system) and another 60quid for two brand new bike racks  Ah well its all good stuff.

There you go...

Bit dirty :P ;)

They dont look too bad I suppose but still prefer it without.

Cheers

I can see me going for some. They don't look that bad, and they'll save the paintwork...

Long shot I know, but that's not the top level of Safeway's carpark in St Annes, by any chance? :)
