  • It's taken me a week to read this thread after my own Superb purchase! I can only say how gutted I am you sold Audrey! It was like a soap opera I didn't want to end. What am I going to do tomorrow?!

  • That's one hell of an aerial on the back there!...

  • It's not an aerial; it's the pole that makes contact with the ceiling grid.

£10 per tyre fitting include new valves / balancing.

Most garages charge that average amount.

In fact i been recommended someone can do it for £20/4 tyres - but we venturing to the dark side now!

Ok

Wayne most fitters will do it for about £10 per tyre, but the trick is finding a fitter who will not bugger your alloys or over tighten the bolts (not to mention Jack the car up in the correct place)

That is the problem!

Hence i said "dark side".

In fact i have NEVER seen any tyre places that do NOT use an air gun!

So Chris!

U have found a gem, in Crossflatts! :-)

Bit like trying to find a reliable builder ...

...or perfect partner that looks hot, cook like a chef, does all the house chores and after bearing u 5 children,

still have a body to die for! Not to forget never ending bedroom chores (wink wink)

Using an airgun is not an issue... providing the torque is turned down when they refit the wheels and then use a torque wrench to nip them up.

But that takes time.

Got a few days off.

Chris!

Look away now!!!

Looking at de-badging, Audrey.

Will dental floss + WD40 be ok?

Or do i need proper fishing line, adhesive removal plus alcohol to clean?

DONT!!!

Well, the neighbour appealed.

Now it has been confirmed they got their appeal:

Base on neighbour did NOT hit me,

but in fact, neighbour reversed from parking spot and I hit her whilst i was leaving the private car park!

Going to court now ...

The mobile guys we use do that - turn the torque right down and then finish off properly with a torque wrench. No problem with an airgun as long as it's used correctly in conjunction with the torque wrench IMO.

Mine's debadged - much cleaner look Wayne. Mine came off pretty easy to be honest - peeled off and then I just tided up with polish.

On the accident, were you both moving at the time of the incident?

No Coops.

I was leaving, her car was stationary and no reverse light ...

taken them back if you have not fitted them yet as they look thinner compared to the photo and get some mcgard ones instead, as they will slip once the tyre cowboys use an airgun to tighten them.  had similar problem with them when some cowboy over tightened them and striped the key thread.  mcgard also offer excellent customer service if you loose you locking key and need a replacement key

Um....I am unsure now...

My 1st reaction was the new nuts look a bit shallow and thin.

But some member(s) assured me this is normal and safe.

Need more advice, pls!!!! :-(

it's the over tightened beyond 120nm spec that will kill them as when you try to loosen them it will start to slip and becomes rounded inside.

Also had experience of a lost Mcgard locking bolt key a few months back and I didn't have the code either so I thought I was screwed but a quick call to the Mcgard customer service centre in Germany I was able to get replacement key made up and sent over within 3 working days for around £15, hence I recommend Mcgard ones.
