Hi all

Had this problem for a couple of weeks now.

Fabia mk1 vRS 54 plate

Basically the car unlocks itself and rolls down the windows.

35-00 - -

End ---------------------------------------------------------------------

got to my car this morning and it was soaking inside so Ive had to resort to taking the fuses out for the windows!

but the car is still unlocking itself, but it has bursts of constantly trying to unlock

Any help would be appreciated

Matt

01038 - Central Locking Thermal Protection

Possible Symptoms

  • Central Locking not working (partly)

Possible Causes

  • Wiring/Connectors from/to Door Locks faulty
  • Door Lock(s) stiff

Possible Solutions

  • Check Wiring/Connectors from/to Door Locks
  • Check Door Lock(s)
    • See Measuring Value Blocks (MVB)

Are you sure the key is not inside your pocket which is then pressing the button and dropping the windows? this would not however explain why the car is unlocked as it should re-lock itself 60 seconds after it was opened… providing a door has not been opened.
