hi racing boy.

one of my friends is a cab driver he went to a breakers yard and got a old seat belt and cut the metal bit that goes into the seat belt receiver that stops it making a noise easy

bill

surely it’s easier to get the seatbelt warning coded out, i’m sure over time it will seriously get on your nerves.

im going to leave it on as it should help the punters belt up and stop the warning chime

On the Superb there are TWO sensors, one for the driver one for the front seat passenger!

i know that but if the person gets in and does not belt up it will bing meaning that if they don't want to listen to jingle bells to where they want to go they have to belt up

They work independently so you can code the drivers seat out, which means your belt will never set off the bong, but when you have a passenger in the front if they fail to belt up the bong will go off,

ATEOTD it’s your car and your choice.

think i'l just leave it i usually belt up anyways but when on hire i take it off and put it round the back of the seat at least thats what i done today45542_325391760904786_769822284_n-1.jpg?t=1359054358487044_325391817571447_539137575_n-1.jpg?t=1359054266

But one thing I would like to deactivate Is the beep when you lock, unlock and open the boot as I leave as 06:45 every morning and its annoying some of the neighbours especial the man through the wall as he doesn't keep to well and don't want to bug him so can it be turned off

Yes that can be done, I assume the S doesn’t have maxidot? if not then it’s VCDS or a dealer to turn it off.

Thank you.

Looks like it’s a dealer or VCDS owner to sort it then.

.....is this one:

You can buy one here: http://www.briskoda....-text-internal/

I've ordered one of these.

I'm wondering, though, where to put it. I confess I've never seen one on a car.

I'm reluctant to put it in the back windscreen due to the heating elements...so where do most people stick `em? Rear quarter window perhaps?

Many thanks.

Mike.

It's to stop the dirt/salt rusting the wheel studs.

(Off topic) How is your customer liking the limo?

Yes, they are the plastic caps covering the bolts.

so do they have to be removed to take the wheel off supose so and do you realy need to have the locking wheel nuts on?

If you look in the boot there will be a pair of plastic tweezers:

Use these to remove the caps, locking wheels nuts are purely to prevent your wheels getting pinched, your call if you want them or not I suppose (the cap that goes over the locking wheel bolt however is larger)
