What is that?

Featured Replies

Hi Everyone, great site and great advise!!!!

I bought my Superb a year ago because it was quite rare at the time and I suppose still is, I have had a few instances where people have mistaken the car. Has anyone else found this? I have changed the badges to the new black and white ones IMO look way better see picks and also upgraded the DRL's and bluetooth module so much better, but since doing this I have been asked if I drive a 5 series?! a Vauxhaull and today was asked if it was a SAAB WTF?????

Anyone else had any this?

I have not put some pictures of the car on here so here is a couple but its snowing....love the car solid, reliable great long distance cruiser with lots of toys, looking to get it remapped now its out of warranty.

I had a meeting with a supplier at the end of a busy summer last year, parked my Superb outside their office and without realising, left the boot open.

Sat with my contact and overheard someone in outer office saying "there's a BMW outside with the boot open"

Eventually realised that they were talking about my car!

When the Superb II was first announced, I felt there were design similarities to the E60 5 Series (2003-2009). I wouldn't say they could be easily confused, but there are similarities

What did you use for your drl's?

Hi Damien. Like the idea of changing the badges. Can I ask, was it a costly thing to do?

I have bought mine for ~ 50 EUR though still need to actually swap them over. Includes front + rear +4 wheel badges

I to have had the E60 BMW comment , i think its the shape of the front lights but i more than happy its not , i did test drive one before i bought my Superb, so much more money for not as much car ;)

Were taken at night but also the car is raised on the drive but I think that they are ace. Bright and white. The badges are great about 50 quid from a dealer front and back and four wheels just be careful on removal as you can easily damage the lacquer in the alloys and the paint work. Looking next for a remap as I understand the the torque s vastly improved on the 170 cr.

I think you can get away with it on a couple year old car, was over taken today, not for long, by a Fabia Vrs (2000) and it just looked wrong. Damien
