Got my L&K at the weekend and wanted to check something.

Have the std. 16 inch elegance alloys 'Vega' and I think the 17 inch Pegasus alloys would look better?

Is this a straight swap?

Also if you are interested in selling me your Pegasus alloys let me know

I have the Pegasus wheels. I like the look. My favourite std wheel I think. NFS.

Vega's look ok too. If small.

I think the vega's are ok but really enhances the car with the 17's IMO

Think I might have found some for £200 for a set of four, just waiting for the guy to confirm the condition as the car is being broken up?

Now a toss up between the wheels or an engine map?

Pegasus wheels are very rare 2nd hand to get hold of. It was for me down here so I made do with 17" Zeniths instead. I still prefer Pegasus though.

:think: :think: :think: I have two sets, summer + winter. The second set will be going off to be refurbed as soon as all the winter bills are paid. Has anyone seen Pegasus finished in a dark colour ??

I've only seen them in Black which tbh look dreadful.

It depends how vain you are.

The only significant external nod to the fact your are driving the top-of-the-range model is the L&K's unique alloys.

OK they may be a nightmare to keep clean but Vega alloys are a little common for me.

The Pegasus alloys are rare for a reason, they are in demand and are the natural progression up from the Vega.

Even if the set you have found are in a poor condition it will be worth buying them and having them refurbed as you may not find another set any time soon.

The plan is to find a set in ok condition and then recon them over a period of time, have new rubber on the current wheels and do not wanna waste that?

Managed to find 3 or 4 sets on eBay via breakers but they are rubbish at getting back to you. There loss I suppose.

I love my pegasus alloys. So glad I spec'd them on the order.

By other favourite are the equally rare B19 alloys.

I was looking for Pegasus wheels. Spotted those on e-bay in post 11 above. Rang him and he was honest and said that that was the best wheel. Got the breaker to mail me photos. That is by far the best wheel. The others looked like they had been driven along the kerb with major scrapes along the spokes not just on the rim. If anyone is considering the above wheels, get them to mail you photos. OK if full refurb but a huge amount of work involved!

I ended up Audi A4 wheels.
