So, Forge made me some OEM pipes..

Featured Replies

Good effort dude.

So what pipes are posted in the pic exactly?

They are Pipes 6, 8, 2 & 4 from this diagram. Basically the rubber bends from the intake system.

The Turbo pipe isn't drawn quite right, it's the same even on the print out Skoda gave me. The Orange pipe is the turbo pipe.

looks good, i'd be interested in a kit along with pipe 7 in the diagram, it's given me grief before. It blew off and splattered muck/oil over my nice clean bay :(

i'd be interested to see it all fitted on your car

do you want to swap for my oem pipes

Samco do the same kit, they had my old vrs back a few years back to mock the kit up,, fair play the changed every pipe under the bonnet for green samco hoses, and i mean every pipe lol For free, happy days ;)

Well, seeing as the ends on these are removable.. Should be easy to use them with the Alu top pipe group buy, being discussed in the other thread on here??

As for colour.. I think they can do them in other colours.. I asked for black when asked cuz' I wanted an oem look. The turbo one has to be that orange colour, I'm guessing because they have them in stock in that colour and order in batches.

Aye up..

I don't post on here as much as I used to, but I do still lurk ;)

I thought this was post worthy though.

About, what, 2 months ago I posted about the SMIC bottom pipe costing a HUGE £106 from Skoda, TPS and Euro parts.. No 3rd party copy part available and 2nd hand parts a bit of a gamble.. I had a brain wave though.. Sometimes the upgrade parts are cheaper then OEM.. so I had a look about, but no one did direct OEM replacements, it was all full kits for FMIC and the like.

Forge already make the pipe that comes straight off the turbo, I'm guessing for cars running a fair bit of stock parts still but bigger maps. So I emailed them enquiring about the likely hood that they could knock out a SMIC bottom pipe for me.. I waited a few days and the reply came back "Send me your original pipes and we'll give you a full set for free in exchange"... I had access to another car and work from home, it was a no brainer... so off they went.

Last week, these showed up in the post!.. SQUEAL!..

I don't have any details really. They obviously have the tools to make them now though.. They're not on the web site yet, but give them a call and they should know what you're on about. What I CAN tell you is that the turbo pipe is £82 inc VAT. I dunno the OEM part price, but when the the SMIC bottom pipe (the shortest of the lot) is £106 then I would guess these will be a priced agreeably..

They all slotted on as they should.. No serious issues. A bit of extra effort to get the metal pipe in place on the bottom was required.. but only because these give a better / tighter seal.. it wasn't impossible with a little tap from a bit of weight.. If I can do it then any one could.

Been up and down the M1 today, haven't been "kind" as such.. All fine and dandy!

Forge are so helpful. Helped me out at extremely short notice with pipes for my FMIC (I mean actually being there and them doing the pipes that morning!) Awesome service.

Now that they've done these pipes they should consider doing the 2 remaining pipes then offer a full kit for the Seat Sport piping rather than their current half arsed one.

They do look very smart :)

I'd thought about asking them to produce some a couple of months ago but didn't email then since I didn't think they'd be interested, I'm kicking myself now though!
