Seat Covers - Who makes the best ones?

Featured Replies

With a six year old mud magnet and his mud magnet friends, doing their best to change the colour of the alcantara seat panels from silver/grey to **** brown; and a new addition on the way I am seriously looking at protecting my back seats.

But I don't some generic PITA crap that doesn't fit or constantly moves, comes undone, or whatever.

Oh please experienced masses bestow on me the benefit of your knowledge...

Rubbish!

Please feel free to add the word 'want' in the correct position!

If be interested too for when I'm at track days.

In case you bob yourself? /\

I have a Town and Country seat cover which is good quality but a bit of a stretch over the vRS front seat. I believe their rear seat covers are a good fit.

There are alot on eBay that claim to be "tailored" to the seats. Don't know if this is true. Again with a dog and regular visits to farms I'd be interested to know which are best too.

Hi,

I have a pair of "Town and Country" front seat covers bought for an '06 Octy 4x4.

Good points - very waterproof (I'm a hillwalker and sea-kayaker and even when driving in wet kit no water has got through to the seat); non-sweaty.

Bad point - they don't fit very well on the sculptured Octy seat. Fitting is a bit of a faff as the covers are secured with velcro strips. One needs to go under the front of the seat, the other around the back at mid height. Neither seem a comfortable fit. The result is that the cover has a tendency to "walk back" up the seat at the front edge and the velcro plucks the rear of the seat

Although the Town and Country covers do the job on the front seats, I'm sure there must be a better one out there. Not tried the rear seat covers, but they will be waterproof and comfortable to sit on if they fit OK

Kind Regards

Ian

Guys, I'd be glad to ship a sample to someone for wear and tear test. I have made covers for back seats on octy and superb police cars. Now, I'm looking to develop it further for consumer usage (better looking, specially fitted for VRS).

I own a FL vrs estate, so the covers will be tailored for that, my problem is no kids, no dog, so no-one uses the back seat :) Not much use for testing in "real life".

Town and country for the rear in my car, we also have a dog but the fit isnt the best and s said the fitting is a faff and nothing fits 100% despite the video showing otherwise.

Reverse i would gladly test the cover for your if you liked, a scottish muddy day will show any flaws lol.
