First Service done

Featured Replies

So, at a little over 9000 miles, the Monte has had its first service.

£106 including the piece of grill the unfortunate cat I hit took with it.

The service centre were great - I did while you wait and it took an hour, which the wife and kids didn't mind too much.

I had a chat with the salesman, who said that mine would be worth about £10k to PX, so not too shabby, but less than is outstanding on finance, thanks to me not reading the fine print with my broker...my fault, but the situation will be different in 6 months (more paid off, less mileage being done, no more dreadful conutry lane potholes...).

In the meantime, I may change the wheels for some 16" jobbies, but only when the tyres come th end of their life (not that soon...) to try and improve the ride quality without going down the suspension route.

I asked them to check the rear drums, as these have shown signs of light surface rust, check done "nothing to worry about", so they may get some attention next time I have a spare day to wash it properly, wax it and take the wheels off!
