Octavia 110 TDi Power Loss Problem

Featured Replies

Surprisingly got my car back yesterday!! They seem to think they have found the problem once and for all now!!! They said that they found oil in the intercooler system?? They have cleaned it out and reckon that this will solve the problem?

It does seem to have done the trick for the time being but there was no mention of where the oil had come from or whether this had been resolved as well?? Also, I think they may have turned the turbo up as now it is ridiculously fast to the point of wheelspinning in second gear??!!!

I will wait and see before I pass any judgement this time!!

BTW, my dealer is in Fareham (Hampshire) as I live on a peninsular and this is my nearest dealer (about 10-15 miles away) and because of our awful traffic it takes about 30-45 minutes to get there!! The next nearest dealer is about 30 miles away :(

Oil probably comes from the EGR system.....

Mine had a bit of oil in there... maybe I should have cleaned it out, but I other things to do at the weekend... I think there is an article on tdiclub.com talking about washing it out with a washingup liquid solution....
