What make of Dump Valve is best?

Featured Replies

As it happens I'm glad this thread is here, I was thinking about buying a forge valve for my felicia, but based on price I think I'll give the compbrake one a look.

tom, the one above is the same as the compbrake, comes with 3 springs, and is just as good, have had all three, and can't tell the difference.

£35 that's a bargain.. at the end of the day it's a piece of metal with a spring inside, what can go wrong with it....

Cheers guys.

I know im a pain in the arse but im just a tad confussed. My old Scooby STI was so much more straigh forward when it came to DVs.......

My mate hate had on 53 plate VRS and had a Baileys VTA on it and didnt have any issues with engine lights or rough idleing etc. Strange.......

If you fit the £35 jobbie off ebay does the engine cover still fit? Or does it have to be removed?

Theres nothing complicated about it m8 these engines need a diverter valve not a vta valve , but at the end of the day its your car so you can do what ever you want to its all about personal prefference , every one here will give you advice and help from past experiances and that is to fit a diverter valve .

If fits, the top vacuum pipe is a tad close but it fits.

Thanks mate. As long as it fits. Engine cover makes it look neat so plan to try to keep it on

fits without modification

If you get one without lots of springs, you can uprate it slightly with a couple of BIG washers. :D
