Who is going to be first to order?

Featured Replies

Well no mk3 vrs in race blue for me if it's available to order that colour on other models. Hopefully the vrs gets another exclusive colour

Yea I am surprised they have taken that colour away from being exclusive to the VRS, will not be much to make them stand out from the crowd now. If I was ever after a non VRS one I would still like race blue though :D

I have flicked through the forum but didn't see it anywhere, is there any official word for when VRS pics/details will be released and production times for UK?

  • Order now placed. . !

  • I decided on a 1.4 Elegance in race blue metallic with full ivory leather interior and spare wheel

  • My present mileage is such that I can't justify the 150 bhp diesel and the 1.4 petrol offers decent performance ( 0 to 62 fractionally quicker than my CR) and economy without the possible long term PP

the vrs will be unveiled at the goodwood festival of speed

I get a feeling that Sprint yellow will be the exclusive Octy VRS colour, will be the metallic grey for me next time round then

Or perhaps the green?

Sarge.

Not sure if this has been posted before (I can't be bothered looking tbh) but it shows the Octy 3 in race blue from a good few moving outside shots.

Enjoy.

Are all of the new petrol engines belt-cam?

Or is the new vRS petrol still going to be a chain-cam engine?

Thanks I saw that video after deliberating for ages over whether ivory interior would go with race blue or should I play safe with black? Now so glad I went for ivory!!

Ivory definitely goes. Will be definitely worth getting some protecting on it of some kind and using leather care product

Maybe or I question if the rallye green will look any good on such a big car

I admire you cojones for ordering a brand new model without a test drive. Braver than me.

I'll probably wait for 9-12 months before I make a decision. Hopefully the 1.8 will be out (or maybe VRS) and the full set of toys.

I'm dying to get behind the wheel of one, particularly one with the multi link rear suspension setup. I can't help but feel being allowed to order race blue on any spec is just plain wrong though. Oh and I want to hear what the Canton audio option sounds like... Can you tell I'm excited for you?! ;-)

Sacrebleu! As our French cousins might say.

Worst news ever! Race blue should be ment for vrs only :(

Race blue on standard octys? That's a bad decision by Skoda. Race blue was already too common on the vRS but now every octy will be bloody race blue.

I think more will be Candy White!! So many VW owners are ordering it that they now charge £200 for it!

Id be very interested to hear how the Octy stacks up against the beemer and evern more so, your Audi. :)

OK, this is way off topic, but you did ask.

...

Hmm - It said it would take my HTML table, then didn't. Will add it a different way...

A4 vs 3er.pdf

How it stacks up against the Octy3? I don't know until I drive one! And I haven't seen lease prices yet, but it is still a contender.

Been brave too

Order placed, so three months left with the Superb

Delivery 10th May

1.6TDI Elegance - Denim Blue

I'm waiting to see how the bonnet lifting pedestrian protection system works before I decide. If its going to be Cat D because someone kicks your bumper at the lights then I'll look elsewhere.

Are you in the UK?

I tried to order a elegance in race blue but that colour is reserved for the vrs only in the UK

Yep Race Blue isn't reserved for the vRS in the UK anymore. My order was placed by the dealer first week in Feb, no problems in specifying Race Blue

Now been told late April delivery - happy days :rock:

Did you pick a car that was in the system i.e. no option specified as I've not even got a build date yet and my dealer checked at the end of last week, having ordered at the beginning of Feb?

Nope ordered with options, not all garages seem to be taking orders from what I can tell. Mine is through Alphabet lease and the fulfilling garage called to confirm

I have added the following

Columbus satnav

Bluetooth +

Winter pack

Bi-xenon lights

Cornering lights

Also got a mail saying lead time is approximately 14 weeks, guess I was lucky

I've learned from a Skoda fact sheet that Elegances built prior to May will lack the front assist and adaptive cruise control!

Ouch!

I won't be ordering yet then

Had park assist on the Superb, never really used it apart from showing off to friends.

The Octy isn't quite as big as the Superb either, so I think even though i'm a short arse I won't hit anyone in the front.

Adaptive Cruise control, again a nice to have, but I tend to look when i'm driving, so a couple of extra's I didn't really need
