Went to Hortons today to get my grandsons Fabia and realised that Stokeys car had arrived went to have a peak at it WOW the Race blue looked great.I have had my Elegance now on order for 4 weeks alas no sign as yet of a build date but looking at Stokys cannot wait. My Octy 3 has Elegance with Bi exenons and race blue with Black alcantara, together with a few extras.

I've ordered a race blue se combi with 17" wheels. Promised myself I wouldn't add too many extras but I've already phoned and added 'sunset' glass, now I'm starting to really consider the chrome window surrounds - seeing the photos (colour looks great btw) think chrome would be good afterall with the blue, but all these extra £150 options add up. Would you? Apologise as there's already a chrome window surround thread, but sitting under the photo of a 'real' car gives me the chance to see.

I saw a hatch Mk III on the motorway last week in Steel Grey, no chrome, standard wheels, now I love the colour, been driving around in it for almost 4 years but, it just looked a little bland, defo needs the big wheels and chrome to brighten things up a bit if you go with that colour imo, poss even look at the optional piano black front grille trim too?

Looks great. I am making final decision on spec / colour and this may have swayed me towards that colour.

Went to the dealers to sign the finance documents... Car looks great in race blue and the ivory full leather is awesome making the interior look even bigger! Not picking the car up until a week on Monday as going on hols. Got the seven day Skoda insurance sorted, they quoted for 12 months and it came in £200 dearer than the insurance on my vRS!!!

Rachel also sorting my order. She told me she is ex-BMW cos they were not selling enough cars and that she sold the most Octy III's on launch weekend out of her dealership team, wonder why?! :wonder:

I'm also looking at a race blue combi with sunset glass. I'm torn on the chrome surrounds... I think I want them, but I also think race blue works quite well without...

Get the surrounds! Looks much better / classier with them!

Personally I think without is better. There is very little chrome apart from the grille, and with the B pillar being black it looks better in black.

Wife likes chrome roof rails, but not keen on window surrounds. I think you've got to have both or neither, think i'll just save myself £300 instead.

I would say the wheelnuts pic is a photoshopped Rapid, not Octy III, the headlights and the rear quarterlight window line is the giveaway. As with all these decisions, if money was no object, it would probably be 50:50 if you asked a random selection of people. Has anyone spec'd Sunset on a hatch or is it only available on the combi?

+1. One thing about the Octy 3 is the smaller chrome grille compared to the 2. Less chrome the better IMHO.
