1.9td pd concerns

Featured Replies

I got a lift in a 57 plate taxi with the 1.9 bxe fitted and it had done 273k and it was still running sweet as a nut. It did need a new exaust and there was a knocking from the rear suspension whenever we went over a bump (both to be expected from a car with intergalactic mileage on it) but apart from that it was in decent nic.

Thanks for all this info chaps its been most useful. I cant wait to get my new octy.

I bought my ex fleet 105pd just over 3 yrs ago with 77k on it. Now up to 125k and still sweet as a nut. Averages 53/54 mpg, with well over 60 on a steady motorway run. In 48k apart from the usual servicable items, I 've had 2 x tyres, a battery and a brake caliper (seized). Still on original clutch and brake pads. You will not be disappointed

I have a 100pd with 161'000. miles, engine has never missed a beat. Still the same clutch too.

Saying that the suspension is getting worn :(

I've got a 2006 1.9 BXE with 61K and is sweet as with FSH. Very economical and pulls really well.

The BXE is the last of the 1.9,s produced and is probally the best one made.

Very sad to see the 1.9 dropped from production.
