Keeping it in the VAG family

Featured Replies

Well I picked up my new motor the other day and so far very impressed

Did you get any body kit with it? I have seen some rather nice bora sport models.Perhaps a photo would be good.

I understand the bora is a saloon as opposed to a hatch is that right?

Enjoy the new motor!

Nah looks-wise it is standard sport trim - so everything is colour coded but nothing more than that - almost stealth like :D

Yup it's a saloon. this is the first time ever that i've had a saloon car everything else has either been hatches or fastbacks.

Cheers

They are nice cars - solid-looking build quality, and they've got that nice VW dash colour :D

I really like the Bora. Theres just something about it. :o

They look classy, really solidly built, refined, well specced. The drivers seat is just a really nice place to be. If they were the prices they are now 6 months ago I'd have had a Pearlescent green 130TDi Sport with Recaro heated seats, winter pack, xenons and cruise....

Ah well. Enjoy it mate.

Sounds nice - amongst my current "possibles" for a replacement car along with the Octy vRS (hence my presence on these fora) is a Bora 4Motion - 205Bhp V6 with 4WD... Funnily enough, they're not much more expensive than equivalent age/milage Octy vRSes (albeit with somewhat higher insurance and fuel costs)

Nice Guy Mike

I like the Bora too, probably better balanced than a golf

Sticking with the Vag theme, one of the best car bargains i have ever seen is the Passat 4 litre W8 4 motion with 275bhp and lots of options. The one i saw had done 20,000 miles and was 17k. Dont they use that block in Bentley's or something

Thing is, when they're second-hand the massive premium of the VW brand is reduced to more reasonable proportions, and then you still get a good car :D

I like the Bora too, used to have a Toledo and it was the same platform.

I really liked my Bora (only been gone three days!). It's a good looking car, if starting to slightly show it's age. Still far nicer than the replacement that's just been launched stateside however. It handles better than the Golf and has firmer suspension on the non-sports models. The build quality is top notch and the interior was nigh on perfect IMO. I was tempted by a 130PD as a replacement for my petrol but after nearly 5 years I wanted a change and something a bit smaller.

Enjoy it - it's a cracking car and very underrated.

....affectionately known as the boring
You could see if you can fit in more subs than Si  Although 5x12inch subs might not fit unless you take out your hat, pipe, slippers, wellies and wax jacket

:rofl::D
