hi all i have a mk1 octavia vrs on a 05 plate. I have a small problem with the brakes when i brake with a light to medium pressure it feels like i have a warped disc but if i brake fairly hard (or very hard ) it dose not do it and it pulls straite. i have tryed going fast and doing heavy brakeing to clean the discs off but it has made no difference. Any one had the same problem or got any ideas ???? many thanks.

Have they been recently replaced or are they old discs/pads that have just started doing it? Had exactly the same with mine a few months after putting new discs/pads on but it went away on its own after another couple of months. There was only a faint judder/vibration with mine.

You can get warped discs machined (if there is enough left on them) but I'd just go down the new discs and pads route instead.

Do you hold the car on the foot brake when stationary? Have heard this can warp discs.
