Featured Replies

Im planning on fitting xenons to my fabia soon. Just have a few questions..

From reading around the lamps from wingmirror woman seem to be recomended. Noticed they have two different ones up

And

There is a big differance in the price of the two. Is there any reason for this?

Im guessing that you can put your leveling motors from the halegon lamps into these and they work perfectly?

Where do you get the bulbs and ballests from? I believe they are DS2 bulbs but I cant see an aftermarket kit on ebay??

Thanks in advance

I think you swap your motors from the halogen lights into the projector ones.

Refreshing to see someone doing Xenons the proper way, rather than trying to fit HIDs in a halogen projector which IS going to dazzle

You can just switch the motors between the standard and the HID's? Cool didn't know that! So that will work out cheaper for Sean then. Wonder how much it costs overall then....

Watching this with interest...

Yep the motors just swap over :)

Projectors are the only way to go for xenon. They put so much more light on the road compared to a kit in reflectors and you get the bonus of not blinding every other road user you meet!!

£220 for two lamps. £80 max for a bulb kit. Plus rig up a washer system for the headlights £20. (not the genuine washer kit obviously!)

Don't mind if I ask do you, so MOT will soon require self levelling, plus the xenon proper projectors output and washers, is that right ?

How to take care of the self levelling out of interest.

there was in one of the other threads an article that said self leveling and washers only had to be present of factory fitted projector headlights

Mine past last month with these fitted. MOT man said so long as the beam was correct and level then he saw no issue with them. 100% better than a hid kit in normal lenses, even the output is better, more focused usable light. I just want some lower temp bulbs as mine are a little too blue for my liking.

You mean the young lad in his Toyota Celica down the road with 8000k hids in his reflector headlamps is doing it wrong?! No... surely not :)

They look rubbish and as he drives down the road they really glare into our house... would hate to be driving toward him at night!

I have just fitted HIDs to mine. It has projector lenses. I would never do it to a car with normal reflector type lamps.

The focus of the light from projector lamps is miles better even with halogen bulbs and with some 4300k HIDs it is a huge step up from previous cars I've had with reflector lamps and uprated halogen bulbs in.

What reflector lights did you get?

A washing and self levelling system will only be checked and required to work IF it is fitted.
