Leaky washer bottle.

Featured Replies

My washer bottle seems to be slowly leaking out the bottorm of the car so I'm going to say I've got a problem some where in the system.

How much of the front of the car am I going to have to remove to get a good enough look and is it worth getting some help as I'm pretty good with a spanner / screw driver but I won't have a clue what bit of the car I‘d be looking at.

Hi

There is a pipe connector just on the bottom of the pump/bottle, and it will have come out, and just needs pushing back in.

To get to the bottle, remove screws from n/s wheel arch at the front, this will allow access to bottle etc.

Strangely enough ,i had a leak last year .As it was a tad cold, I left it till summer. And by that time ,the leak had gone . But it seems feasible that removing the passenger side wheel arch gives access ,as my leak showed up in that spot .

My Fabia started to lose a bottle of wash a day. Took it all to pieces and found out that it was the valve on the front of the washer motor that had split causing a constant drip. I would try and have a peep first by loosening the wheel arch liner, before removing the entire bumper. If you can’t get the part and need to use the car, then you will end up taking the bumper off twice. The clips to the under tray are a PITA, they like to disappear.

Hi all, I am having a similar issue with my fabia 2 - it's only a slow but steady leak.It started after taking it to dealer to have water pump, cam belt done, I think it might be the tube at the bottom. Strange to have a windscreen washer reservoir inside the wing lol.

Thanks for the tips all. Take care.

Neil.
