ECU REMAP FOR 1.8 T FSI Engine

Featured Replies

Folks,

Can somebody please help. I have just purchased a Skoda Octavia 1.8 T FSI Elegance and would like to get it remapped. I was looking at SHARK for a remap but they don't list my engine. Any ideas or other tuners, remappers would be greatfully received.

Cheers

Hi

Try looking at the other engines in other models. Is it the 160bhp? If so look at the yeti and superb. Or give the guys a call in the office on Monday.

Rob

what year is it?

Thanks guys,

Its a 58 2008 year 1.8 T FSI 160 BHP engine. Does this help?

Just looked at the Yeti remap for my engine and its £499. What would be the difference between this remap or one from Angel tuning at £310??

Thanks for your help

Shark will be able to map it. And very good it is too! I had it on mine from 9,000 miles old and it was simply the best remap I've ever had on an otherwise standard car. Highly recommended. :-)

What enginehave you got? What diffeence was there?

We're getting a lot of enquiries about cars missing from the site recently which we are looking to rectify.

1.8TSi. LOads more grunt from pulling away, good midrange and they get the small IHI turbo revving out and pulling hard to the red line like nothing Ive experienced before - its just the best all round 'real world' map compared to REVO, Superchips that Ive tried previously. Greatly improved mpg also on a long run. :)

what sort of figure?

what sort of figure?

My daily 10 mile commute, which is mainly stop start traffic for 4 miles and A road for 6 gained an additional 2 mpg after the map. On cruise I've seen upwards of 50mpg when taking it easy on a run. (I've posted on this before so try a search for further details). :)

The thing to do when checking what remaps are available is to check your engine code. This allows us to check what ECU type you use and if it can be done. The engine code can be found underneath the chassis number in your V5

What sort of impact did it have on your insurance premium?

What sort of impact did it have on your insurance premium?

It was just under £60 which iirc was 10% of the premium at the time. :)
