two RR printouts have been done so far (with the box on setting 7) one giving 207bhp one 213bhp (with induction kit) I know someone who's putting one on the RR on 23rd feb, I'll post his results up, will be running optimax and setting 9. fitting is very easy if you have the right torx screwdriver for removig the air pipe to the turbo, takes less than 10 minutes... most important thing is make sure you hear the connecters "click" home, or you will end up with errors and limp mode. the box really doesn't take to 95 RON fuel, use super, and preferably 99 + RON.

I have driven one with the box on, and its a mahoosive improvement, especially in the higher gears ;)

enjoy!

if im not working the 23rd ill try pop down to that dyno sesh as well. see what the tmc and the carbon itg can do...

nice one, wasn't it yours that ran 213bhp? I put the link in the scottish section :)

Agree with mr sharkrider, i had 1 due to funds and no chance of getting anything other then 95 i had to see the tmc box go.

I don't think you will be dissapointed.

Will be good to see now what its like on 9 when running 99 and setting 9. Coz she felt a beast when running 95 and addative (nf octane booster)

Off to see what this is all about, sharkrider tells me in another thread I should have one!

I tried one a while back. Definately makes a difference, but for me at setting 7 it would cause problems and the car went into limp under hard acceleration. At 6 the engine warning would come on but no limp. I was running 97/98 ron fuel as well. Didn't really see the point if I had to keep turning it down and down all the time.

It is fairly easy to fit and remove the only problem was finding the right connctions, online guides are good, and undoing and redoing the clips for the first time.

I have a tmc box and really rate it. Never had a problem with it.

I remember the first time I fit it and floored it once upto temperature, I laughed. Always a good sign

can we confirm you comming then apman? :)

Having driven a Mk2 vRS for many hundreds of miles across the UK and the continent. It's very quick ;)

can we confirm you comming then apman? :)

I cannot confirm I'll be there as my shifts for work haven't been published so I dont want to take up a space, but if I can I will come down. I dont mind waiting till the end of the day etc or even if I dont go on cause its busy.

Okay box is now on, 10 minutes to connect and 15 to find my screwdriver that i dropped into the engine bay

took it out for a quick test on 7 i can feel a slight increase in acceleration but not as much as id hoped, tempted to increase to 8 but i only have the stock induction on, can anyone advise if turning it up is okay or would i need to upgrade other parts?

Cheers!

and I got a free sticker and i love free stickers.....

How many miles has your engine done?

Are you using 99 RON petrol?

run it on 9 if you can cope with the slight reduction in fuel economy... on standard induction thats fine, decent induction adds about another 5 bhp.....

it may feel quite similar in low speed acceleration, but its things like the "A-road overtake" that you REALLY notice the difference :)

give it a little time, when you do your "usual" drives ect , and you will notice :)

The biggest difference I found was that you now feel the gear changes. Even when booting it standard the gear changes were smooth and it was just a constant increase in speed. It was fast, but it didn't feel fast.

Now there is a little kick as it changes gear which I thinks great.

I might have underestimated this to be fair, on the drive home it was definitely noticeable....... Will test it out at 9 and then look at a better induction

Look at ram air!!! I'm trying to get guys to at least look, cheaper then most, foam and good quality.

I love the noise you can tell when super charger kicks in as it sucks, gives a awesome growl at low rpm too

I have a post of drag strip times to give you an idea have a search im sure you will find them
