whats your "other" car?

Featured Replies

being a forum full of a lot of diesels that can sometimes be the daily for a 2nd car or a weekend toy that they use and abuse, i wondered if anyone had another car they save for those sunny and dry days on a weekend?

Me and the misses use the VRS as a daily and a long distance goer, our other car is a Focus ST 3.

Its not the perfect weekend car but it is fun! its what she wanted, i wanted an Evo 4/5 or a mk1 focus RS but you know... women! :D she just couldnt live without her comforts and didnt want something unreliable.

Its had a dreamscience race remap, CIA (or what ever its called) induction kit, baffles removed from the exhaust and top range tyres.

just waiting for a sunny day to fit the lowering springs.

Its running 280bhp so nearly at the 300 mark! it'll need a new clutch first.

anyhoo. here it is: (also thought i'd show off my camera skillz)

I have this spare 924 as well, but its purely parts / donor, then off to the scrapyard! Not salvageable

Love the last 3 photos! (Edit - of the ST, not the 106!)

Currently got a Polo GTi, but it's not on the road as uni is sapping all my time, so it would be pointless to pay FRT/insurance on it.

Currently looking to swap it for something more track-worthy and a project car after graduating in the summer. Currently thinking e36 328 or another RX-8 for track use and an older E30 as a do-up project. Just need the space to store them now!

E36 is a cracking car for its money, do it!

Yeti for everyday, Fabia VRS as a wife car/toy and now the Golf for a track car project, I also got the Audi to track car that but it is too much work so I will use the Golf.

Everyday use, Yeti

Audi, bought as a track car project but needs too much, it will be broken and sold in bits unless somebody wants it as a whole?

Golf, new track car project, needs new suspension, this will be GAZ coilovers, also new brakes and bucket seats and harnesses, it will stay as a 2.0 16 valve for now but when I improve as a track driver it may get some turbo treatment.

My diesel fabia is my weekend car, I must be getting old before my time, but the hard suspension and noise is annoying when I'm just going A - B. currently abusing the Mrs Fiesta ST as a daily, but gonna get another car for work soon.

My Escort Track car which hasn't been out on the road for a few months now. Some pictures from last year before it was dry stored for the winter:

Nae pics.

the Mazda 3 is my main car, SWIMO has a Honda CRV and I often have hire cars for work.

I need a scoffolding garage! That is great, it is big, light and weather proof, where can I get one?

There was a 309 gti at oulton park yesterday, he was flying around, it had the usual hunting and noisey engine but as all gti pugs it was a flying machine.

Wish i still had use of it but unfortunatly it became to dangerious and had to come down, it was the rear end of a very old greenhouse but it turned out to be very useful for doing stuff in

Seat Exeo Sport Tech as the family Diesal

Impreza Wrx Uk300 as the Sunny day toy

Thanks mate. :) It's got a 2.0 Zetec lump with stainless exhaust, decat, CAI and Kent 2001 Cams. Was planning on getting throttle bodies and a remap but it costs an arm and a leg!

I know where there is a 1989 XR3i in gun metal grey with dog leg alloys on if anybody is interested, I have to say it is tired and has been stood for years outside so it needs a lot of work.

does the Morris run well on Shell super unleaded? lol

does the Morris run well on Shell super unleaded? lol

That's all it gets, with a dash of Castrol Valve stuff. :)

I don't use regular unleaded because one day I'd put it in the yellow thing by accident... then have to drive around on the eco map until the tank had been flushed. :(

if you take it to how fast, others will have a chance of wining, it is a very tidy looking piece of history.

Thanks James.

It's actually not worth that much, but the last owner (who sadly passed away) had it in the family a very long time.

So as it had great sentimental value attached to it the repair bills were many mutliples of it's value.

This is the interior...
