Is this the new vRS?

Featured Replies

Could be authentic? Same type of grill I've seen on the mk3 fabia pictures being thrown about. I like this a lot

I hope not, it looks like some old Japanese sports car from the eighties!

Think it is, Benfield Skoda posted it up the other day on Facebook.

I think if looks good, cant wait to see it in black.

The interior needs to be dark like the Fabia vRS but apart from that I like it

aren't those the alloys from the mkII vRS though?

Yes they are black neptunes as sported on the blackline.

If it is I'll need a dotted line to sign on! I want one! Had three vRSs in the past and much as I like my Yeti I still hanker to be back in a vRS.

hmmmm..........my point is, I thought the new 18's were Golus?

I think its a photoshop dream

someones already posted whats thought to be a vRS on the road. boring rear wing, and the front is taped up. so I think we will all have to wait till the real thing is released

if this is the new mk3 octy vrs i have to say i really like it, i didnt at first when i saw a few photos floating around but its really starting to grow on me :) lets just hope its the real thing and not someones photoshop fantasy !

It's not the new RS, look at the LED running lights up close and you'll see how photoshopped they are. The new car certainly wouldn't have the old car's wheels and rear wing and the interior trim is the silver trim on the Octavia Elegance, which it would definitely not have. I'd say it's close but not quite there.

Yeh, I doubt the real thing will be that low at the rear - well, as standard anyway - and where are the front fog lights? Unless they're part of the headlamp unit, which I would doubt.

Sarge.

A good photoshop, but it's got the mk2 wing, and wheels, and as others have mentioned the dlr area is a little rough for a real image :) It'll look simular but much more sharper.

The MK3 vRS made a brief appearance on the Skoda Car configurator back in December 2012, the pictures of the real thing are in post number 40 of the thread below. Nodbody knows why they popped up when you selected a Fabia, but the images were short lived but someone did grab some screenshots.

Hmm, the mesh in in the grille with DRLs looks off. Usually the holes in the mesh are identically sized on all parts of the car.

Anyway, looking at the accessories catalogue for the Octy 3, the sports package in there looks better than the proposed vrs above. You can also spec it with black 18 alloys called Turini that looks really sporty.

Alot of posts on here keep going on about the drl's and the mesh grills. are the drl's on the mk3 not the line that runs along the bottom of the headlight.

The vRS will have it's own unique DRL's :)

Thank god it gets something unique since its now lost race blue. Hopefully it gets a new unique colour

Is this a fact, or just a guess.

I'm 99% sure it is a fact! After all they did "accidentally" leak the vRS on the configurator a few months back. It's not far off the original image, just think of it a little more blocky at the front...

I hope not there is no agression about it compared to the FL mk2

No fog lights ?

cheers leon, never seen that picture before.
