Yeti flaps

Featured Replies

Just gave the Yeti its post winter bath and was amazed at the accumulation of grit/mud etc behind the front mud flaps, wouldn't like to leave that lot in there to rot....

Bad design perhaps not had this problem on other cars.

Agreed.

A good idea to 'spring back' (pull away) flap from paintwork as there is a 'track/groove' where flap meets wheelarch flange edge and it keeps damp muck/grit/salt against the paint permanently which is the

best recipe for corrosion I know.

It is simple to clean out with a 'j' cloth though.

No doubt there'll be a post post winter bath as well unless you can confidently say that all the bad weather has left us?

Just gave mine the post winter bath and full scrub down to find a tiny stone chip in the "grime zone" on the windscreen... :swear:

How on earth could Bob find anything smutty about washing behind the flaps?

Bob was so impressed with how the corner had been cleaned up during his absence he now refuses to come out. :giggle:
