Mud Flaps for a Fabia?

Featured Replies

Any joy with pics??

This is the best I could think of photographing :)

It clips around where the lip on the wing is if that makes sense.

Looks straight forward, just trying to think if my black wheel arch lining is the other side of the wing lip. I'll check it out on Saturday and hopefully get them fitted.

It's easy enough :) wheel off is probably easier though.

Just trim the edge of the bumper so it's flush with the arch liner and put the mudflaps in a bucket of hot water.

Look spot on.

What did you use to trim bumper? :)

Rear end of car seems to get very dirty now in winter :(

Don't for one moment think the rear mudflaps will keep the Rse end clear. Only two things would help in that respect, IMO. Arctic style anti-spray mudflaps (possibly full width)  and an aero treatment deflecting air down the back screen (rather difficult on the VRS with that spoiler).

I've come to this conclusion regarding the OEMs. The front keep the sides of the car including the doors free of lurid arcs of muddy crap. The rears basically do bugger all but balance the looks.

I've removed my rear ones now, the wheels stuck out further than the flaps so pretty pointless.

Are the standard rear one's part of the arch liner?

Mine seem to have been worn down and only have little bits on.

Can you add mudflaps, replace the existing ones or add new ones (OEM)?

Cheers

No they aren't part if the arch liner, you remove a few if the arch liner screws then the holes in the mudguard line up with the holes in the arch liner.

It's the little lip on the rear bumper of the VRS that makes them difficult to fit.
