Tvr buying MG

Featured Replies

Looks like TVR could buy MG, interesting

Its on the front page of pistonheads.co.uk

Now an MG ZR with a Tuscan engine, that might be almost as fast as a Furby Vrs

I think its quality, more jobs, and the revival of the best part of rover,

lets hope tvr use it wisely

Rover reliability with TVR build quality!

Will be interesting to see what happens :D

Chris

Could be a good move.

That gives them scope to make cheaper sports cars than their current low end model , and also some interesting engines to put in the mg saloons.

Hmmm, a rear-drive ZT with a TVR straight six?

Should be worth a giggle... :)

I guess that's lett than a fiver for the company then, what with it being less than half of MG Rover

there`s a feature in the latest autocar that a guy called krish bhaskar wants to buy MGrover for

All new cars can't be a bad thing - the 70s are long gone.

i cant imagin an old biddy driveing a rover 25 with a tvr engin in it! lol

I read that the Russian Millionaire who's just aquired TVR wants to move production of TVR vehicles to a more modern plant. He wants to move to Longbridge as they have modern equipment and all the logistics already in place. He is only interested in the MG TF and wants to but all the tooling for that car from Price Waterhouse.

I reckon TVR would play a bigger role in his portfolio than MG and finally turn them into a volume manufacturer.
