Changing DRL's

Recommended Posts

Ive bought LED's to fit in the DRL's. (Including Resistors)

Anyone have a tip for removing the bulbs, finding it difficult especially passenger side to get fingers in and turn bulb. Once I get them out Scotch Locking the Resistors will be easy but I'm struggling to remove the little bugg++s.

It is pretty tricky, but once I'd worked out how to turn the holder the second one took no time at all. It turns clockwise, and putting your fingers in the right place to get leverage is the key. Index, middle finger and thumb was the method I used, but it's all done by feel as you can't see a damn thing, and I have banana fingers.

Not much detail, but I hope it helps.

Thanks Mikep, I have persevered and succeeded!! My hands are too big, managed better by removing fog bulb allowing more space. Much better with the LED's - helps to be better seen during daylight hours.

Oddly I quite like the natural yellow tint to the Yeti DRL, it makes it look a tad more... organic.

Now off to google some LED DRLs :giggle:

Don't you mean 'retro'??? :p

I need to replace my offside fog light, but can't work out to remove it.

I've looked at the manual, and can't find what it is that I need to push down to release it.
