strange thing happened this morning.

Featured Replies

I have a 07 petrol VRS. Every day when i finish work i start my car put the lights on and let it warm up whilst i have a chat to workmates. But today after about 10min i walked back to get in and drive home but the lights had gone off and the dash was lit up like a Christmas tree with warning lights. I took the key out then went to restart it but it was like it had a flat battery. So jumped it off a mates car and all was ok. Started straight away and no warning lights. Has any1 had a similar experience.

I'd say new battery time.

Check battery voltage at standstill and also check with engine running.

Report back with your findings.

I am going to run it to kwick fit and i will report back.

Sounds like a new battery, modern cars are really sensitive, my E60 bmw was uber sensitive even if you got a flat battery on it you couldn't jump start it it had to be charged, Nightmare.

ECP and get a new uprated one.

We will expect you to come back with a new battery ( as KF said you needed one )

taking it to kf = fail.

Plus new brake pads and a complete set of dampers ......

Lol at the above. Its started fine so today so took it to a friends garage who services it for me for new pads and he is going to investigate it. So don't worry KF ain't getting any work from me lol

the best thing you can do when you have battery issues is spend £10-£20 on a multi meter. They are so handy to have and im shocked so many people dont have them

Round where I work a flat battery would be the least of my worries. I'd be lucky if the car was still there!

Car stalled for one reason or another, lights, heater/fan etc all left on and battery flat after 10 minutes is my guess and not a battery related issue. VDRS required.

VDRS?

VDRS?

Perhaps that's what the pikey ebay ones are calling themselves now :D

Meh!
