I voted to adopt a new system.

Whilst I agree that it would be as fair as can be to put an extra ?p on the cost per litre, there still needs to be a way of replacing the exempt VED.

I'm sure it would be complicated and as difficult to police as the current VED though.

If it's added onto fuel you get revenue from non UK registered vehicles and those who run cars without taxing them.

Get rid and put it on fuel! Everyone one then get a fair crack more miles the more you pay, this would Akers going on public transport more affordable if we had a good public transport that is :)

As a taxi driver, I feel constantly screwed over.

Fuel now touching £1.49.9 a litre, VED of £120 a year, stupidly priced insurance, poor roads, and my fares arent that expensive neither & haven't been changed to reflect recent hikes in fuel & running costs. Get in my taxi, your £2.80 the first mile, £1.20 per mile there after.
