Fitting Parrot MK9200 to Bolero in Superb

Featured Replies

Has anybody completed the fitting of the mk9200 parrot system into their superb with a bolero head unit?

I'm little confused about what lead i need? Should I a use a populated lead?

If there is a 'how to' guide then I would appreciate a link or any other advice.

Thanks

Sorry I can't provide a guide, but I believe this is the cable you need ( plus an Igni-box)

You can do without the ignibox. I fitted one to my VRS (a couple of years ago) and had an ignibox.

Took it out, because it did exactly the same as directly connected to the fusebox. (switched).

Saves you a couple of GBP and function is the same.

What about a fiscon unit?

Maybe more expensive, but works with the OEM head unit and you have no other stuck-on bits - believe it needs coding into the car tho.

Al.

PS. Can't believe an SE spec Superb does not come with such a simple item as Bluetooth!

Or buy the OEM BT from Carsystems.pl. It´s way better than Fiscon.

It may be that the OP already has the Parrot MKi9200. The MKi9200 not only provides bluetooth, but also MP3 via USB, SD-HC, iPod/iPhone and will display album art.

A great unit. I was very happy with mine in my Mondeo, and now need to get round to fitting it in my Superb - I've made and tested the two little tools for taking the radio surround off - at least it's a start!

Yep - I already have the Parrot kit taken from another vehicle. So I'm having to stick with it.

All you need is the quad lock cable to install the parrot. Works a treat. Was very happy with my 9200 in the VRS (in combination with a Columbus head unit).

Would this do the job then Magic?

I think it will!

Or this one, you will have to do a bit of changing in the plugs. Dont know how to describe this. But you will have to take the original quad lock plug apart. (this, I thought was pretty easy. But you will need a bit of knowledge in car electrics. You can take the quad lock plug apart.
