Bye bye VRS - Hello 330d...

Featured Replies

It was getting confusing having 2 black VRS's on the drive so one had to go :D

How does it compare?

PLEASE tell us more! Ive always considered myself a petrol turbo fan, namely impreza, skyline.. But since going diesel the thought of a mapped 330d seems even more exciting than that! I'd even go auto I think!

We bought a second VRS 18 months ago as it was mega low miles (17k) @ 5 years old and with the good Lady Wife doing 600 miles a week we figured that it would be a sound purchase as sh wouldn't kill the value too fast with miles. Anyway - circumstances have changed so we can have something more fruity.

2 VRS's sat on the drive, 1 with 52k miles and one with 186k miles, the latter is worth fook all so we have traded the former @ £3.5k against a fairly well loaded 2008 330d Msport. 228bhp and 369 torques. We pick it up on Thurs. It goes well - nothing like my 300/300 Impreza but relentless is a word i would use :D

More info on Thurs :)

Good choice ;)

........oh yeah it's an auto. Having driven the manual and the auto, i choose the auto everytime - i'm getting old and lazy :D

Slightly worse choice! :p

I can see the appeal of an auto, but at 22 I don't think I could stand the ribbing from friends for getting one!

What colour is it?

It's got the tiptronic thing going on and the flappy paddles but quite frankly I can mostly see myself using D :D

Wow :D

Totally impressed with it's ability to cover ground. It's an Msport so it has a firm ride but seems to ride the bumps very well. It wouldn't match my old Impreza in a straight line but as i said above - it's progress seems relentless. Supremely happy with the new chariot :)

Auto :(
