For those who can access sky etc the first Race of the season takes place this weekend at Hockenhiem, the highlights will be on ESPN on sunday 2330-0030, no doubt repeated at some point during the week

As brands is about 50 - 60 mins away, dont want to get caught too much up in the traffic around the circuit, so will look to try & arrive around 8:30- traffic permitting.

Brilliant day @ Brands, Sun came out & there weiil be a few slightly tanned / red people.

Ear defenders were a necessity, but the best race was the Lotus Elise race just after DTM.

I thought the Formula "A" race was the best :) straight after the DTM race and full of "brave" drivers :D

Hope you had a good one Steve, I reluctantly bailed out at the last minute because I needed to get on with Lindas car, it was the only opportunity I had for a bit of workshop space, fruits of my labour below...

Much rather have been where you were.

Sorry you didn't make it Mike.

It's the first one of these I've been to and I enjoyed it.

Thanks for extending the offer.

I'm pleased you enjoyed it, it would have been nice to catch up with Steve and yourself, needs must unfortunately,.I'll make up for it hopefully later in the season perhaps an endurance race in Europe or something. ;)

Or next year :) At the price offered it was actually GOOD value for money, i am sure be will be interested if it comes back to Brands again.

Have to agree.

When you consider the ticket price on the day was £35, plus extra to sit in the grandstand if you wanted, plus food and drink the £85 was good as it included a great place watch from too with space (not crowded) complete with tables and chairs.

I didn't spend anything else all day and didn't have to queue for a grotburger either. ;)

Well worth the bit extra. :)

Would like to do the same when the BTCC is on.

So are you suggesting it was still a grotburger, just that you didn't have to queue for it? :)

Shame the man who organised it all wasn't able to make it - I'll have to make the effort to try to get to one of these sometime, but it'll probably mean stopping over somewhere the night before to get there without getting up at stupid o'clock in the morning

The food was good.

I was impressed by the whole experience and would certainly reccommend it.

If you are really brave you can queue for the..."Gourment Burger".. comes with a slice of tomato..whoopy do..along with curly fries, for about £8 the first and last time I had one... The food in the suite isn't too bad as buffet food goes, its all edible and you won't go hungry. As Steve and Bossfox have said it is great value, by the time you do your math (man maths not needed on this occasion) its not that much more than the cost of an entry ticket, programme, a seat in Paddock Stand, plus the extra cost of food and drinkies. You don't need to spend another penny at the circuit once in hospitality..I'm not a snob but who wants to pay £15 to sit in a grandstand next to a great big unwashed lump who's arse cheeks are across three chairs and has blocked out the sun as well as the view ;)

Anyhow I digress..don't forget that was a special rate that Steff gave me for briskoda and kentscoobies, if you are seriously interested in the BTCC ,the last meet of the season is at Brands on the GP circuit on 13th October. I'm happy to sort a price out, perhaps a new thread would be in order and if I've got some definites I'll approach Steff to see what he can do for us. Bryan if you fancy it, you are most welcome to stay round my place, I'm about 1/2 an hour from the circuit.
