Fabia vRS reviewed in The Sun motoring section today, mixed opinions. (One of the labourers on site bought it, honest !)

Sorry bout that little episode. Just don't like jumped up journo's slating Skoda just cos it is a Skoda!

How can you expect a motoring journo to like the Fabia vRS? If they arent test driving the latest Enzo Ferrari they get all humpy. The fact that she belittles it proves it must have hit a nerve, and probably upset her just as much by having to drive "A Skoda".

Well sorry, but brainless journo,s who know nothing of the real world and think Max Power is a motoring bible dont carry any weight with me and just prove even more how much Skoda are upsetting the apple cart.

And just to add further weight to my arguement....she writes for that motoring heavyweight that is The Sun....dont they just need to write 3 words then add pictures?

How about a Mk3 Fiesta van with HUGE front and rear valances , and an evo 5 bonnet vent and 2 tone purple/grey paint AND its a 1.6D , or a Suzuki Baleno Gs 3 door with 17s , full kit , evo 5 bonnet vents and tints with 'Suzuki GSR' sunstrip? and who can forget the mk 4 light met blue Escort with gold bumpers wheels and mirrors (sprayed outside on a windy day by the looks of it) with (and I kid u not!) "THE ULTIMATE" signwritten in gold on the back of it...oh and its a 1.4 LX on an H....

She appears to be more freelance, as the link Denis posted up was from the Times. Personally, I think if the Sun editor had cut her article to 3 words and filled the rest of the space with pictures it would've been a marked improvement...

I'm surprised it got such a slagging. I've driven the Golf PD130 (same engine) and it feels reasonably sporty, at least as much as most of the SRi, GTi type motors you see on the road.

At least the other review was more positive

Yeah, but Golfs are chic and trendy. Or common, depending on how you look at it...

I've always found the Fabia's very nice handling cars, even the base model courtesy cars - think the 130 engine will complement it nicely, and has lots of potential as well as economy.

oh my god, i have never read so much badly written tosh in all my life.

she clearly has no idea about writing a decent article, merely taking the ' jeremy clarkson school of analogies ' a little too far to say the least. read it through again and you will see that this silly moo obviously thinks her 'style' is clever and witty. talk about overdoing it.

i'm not arsed about what people think of the car - at least be semi-intelligent when you write about it.

I didn't like looking at it and I sure as hell didn't like driving it.

After reading that, I very much doubt she's even driven it. And if she has, she obviously had her [small] mind made up before she even got handed the keys.
