Respectable performance

Decent build quality - rattles annoy the pants off me...

Decent fuel economy (40mpg+ for varied driving).

There was no constraint on budget - but obviously the cheaper and greener the car, the less tax I have to pay!

Other than VAG cars I'm unaware of anything that fulfils this criteria...

I do quite like the Astra Sport Hatch though. With the optional 18" wheels and ticking all the options boxes to make it a similar spec to my Furby, it comes to a shade over

Bending the rules slighlty...if I were shoppping tomorrow...intergra racing import from lichfields or a Nissan funk mobile thing.

If I can't go round bends quickly then I'm going for funk and therefore ensure that I only ever have a desire and no ability to welly it into a well banked slip road ever again.

So pretty much status quo nowthen....lots of desire and no ability.

Same price range as my 2nd hand octy, mitsi evo4 possibly, or maybe Fiat coupe 20v, or possibly porsche 928 if i took a bit of a head stagger.
