I pulled a fuse out of my Skoda Fabia 2001 1.9 SDI last week and the air bag light came on. I bought a cable from ebay which came with a software disc but wont load on my laptop. Can anybode advise me what software I need to reset this light and where I can download the program?

VCDS is what you need, I guess by the sounds of it you have purchased one of the many cheap copies on ebay which are very hit and miss.

I'm not sure you'll get any assistance from members on here as to where to source wonky software to enable the use of the blatantly fake cheap eBay cable to extinguish your airbag light.

May I politely suggest contacting a local (to you) member with genuine VCDS to scan and clear the fault code causing the illumination of said light.
