wat rims & tyres for Fabia 1.4 Classi (55kW)

Featured Replies

juz got my 1st car - Fabia 1.4 Classi (55kW) last week. :D

frenz asking me to change to alloy rims & tyres :?

any advise?

Try the following link to Skoda UK:

http://www.skoda.co.uk/

Enter site - click on top left blue box (Fabia) - select accessories - then wheels.

Options listed for alloys are:

6 x 14" 185/60 R14 tyres

6 x 15" 165/70 or 185/60 R 15 tyres

6 x 14" 165/70 or 185/60 R14 tyres

6 x 15" 195/50 R 15 tyres

That should give you some idea on options. The last wheel looks nice!

or you could fone any wheel and tyre place in max power , fast car ect and ask them for advice...i think a 17 inch wheel with slightly lower springs and maybe tints would make a nice looking 'Furbie'..aka Fabia!

...like my son with his 205 1.9GTI did. He got a very good deal on a set of very swish looking tyres which foul his wheel arches - and now drives a 3 seater rather than a 4. 8)

Briskoda HQ - log in please! Do we really want boy racers on this site?? Max Power indeed...

Lol...I only buy it for the adverts....honest....

If they own or drive a skoda they're welcome...

However back on topic, firstly I am assuming you have just got this car and your insurance could be quite high, changing wheels can IMHO unessecarily increase this for the gain.

That said there's no harm in it atall, in fact photoshop Ian might even do some samples, he's dab hand if you drop a pic of your intended choices and ask nicely.

Denis has done a great job pulling the appropiate sizes and a few links in our sections will provide you with calculators for speedo inaccuracy and wheel shops.

Let us all know how it goes of course.

yup, i juz got my car & e dealer actually owes me 14" alloy rims.

i'm thinking of trading them new for 15" ones.

think 6 x 15" 195/50 R 15 tyres shown on skoda.co.uk looks nice too.

juz checked wif our local authorised agent here in Singapore - they're importing Torro (or is it Toro) rims for their Skoda here.

saw the photo samples, very nice.

but only arriving in Jan '04, guess hv to wait til then...

sorry, i mean next year, Jan '03.

I'd go for some nice BBS cross spoke alloys, say 15" or 16".

Have a look at www.bbs.com to see what they might look like.

Also have a look at www. wheelmachine2000.de for some more ideas.

I'd avoid 17" as these might have a negative impact on performance and make the car look too high...

The 15" six spoke alloys available for the Fabia from skoda look quite dandy too...
