Steel, stone etc? beats cattle etc as was some time ago, when there was a station there!

Steel, cement powder, coal, Tesco's containers, power station ash, cars, china clay, general containers, timber, and some odds-and-ends occasionally, plus 4 passengers an hour.

Okay, it's been a good Easter, tow bar electrics fitted, removeable tow bar fitted - SWMBO came outside in the beautiful sunshinewe've had today and bolted the tow bar on as much she could and fitted the electrics to the tow bar. We've done this partly on Saturday and 'on & off' today with no pressure to finish the job - it's a 5 minute walk to work for me so my car isn't really needed for a couple of weeks.

Just got to speak to a friendly VCDS coder to get it up and running before I (we) stick the bumper and innards back together again.

3C outside even worse with windchill.

Inside wearing balaclava and gloves (always switch off central heating when clocks go forward) having a run round lounge to keep warm :ninja:

Polarbear digging up lawn, brass monkey just gone down road with welding rod.

Soon be time for a glass of red.

Cheers :bandit: :coffee:

Peter.

Blue skies and sunshine down here Peter ... but I have just lit the log fire.

Pedant warning.................

you braze or solder brass, not weld! ;-}

Hi Peter,

Sorry to her about the Polar Bear but no word of a lie I was working in my T-Shirt this afternoon it was so hot!

Also, sorry to be a spoil sport but were you aware the phrase, 'cold enough to freeze the balls off a brass monkey' has nothing to do with our fellow anthropoids, it's a very old seafaring term with reference to cannon balls....... okay, I'll go back to that dark place now where no one speaks to me - can't understand why!.

Stood around and got very cold at the Elsecar Mega Meet. Mine was the only Yeti, and had probably the highest ground clearance - even compared to the the lowered Transporters there! Only the (other) oldies went for a closer look :giggle:

I should point out this was just the Briskoda contingent - there were 150+ cars there.

Wha'ja mean - soon be time? 'S always time fr' red! :mmm:

What interesting pastimes Yeti owners have!

My weekend should have mainly consisted of the local beer festival, but Only got a few hours in at the end(was there for the £2 a pint sale on what was left though!)

To make up for it I had late nights out afterwards on sat and yesterday, to make up for becoming a year older today... :'(

....a year older today... :'(

Aw! C'mon - it's not that bad! I did it the other day and I don't feel even a little bit different

Happy Birthday, anyway!

Hi Sandy

Was up your way last Thursday had a bit of a walk by Ennerdale Water very nice and sunny a lot warmer than down here.Stunning scenery last week in lakes.

Might be up there one the last Saturday in April or first in May.

My rugby team (Siddal) play at Wath Brow and Egremont two weeks running.. great fixture planning. going to try and negotiate at least one trip on team bus if SWMBO allows.

Cheers

Peter
