The Czech Devil - HYBRID TURBO

Appreciate that. I haven't been sure if to go milltek or piper as I do like mine to be reasonably noticeable with plenty of pops and bangs on overrun but haven't really heard many on these to know how they sound.

Think ill be going non res whichever make I go but if your custom setup sounds more to my liking I may look into that too.

I love the way my mates cupra r sounds with his cobra exhaust but they don't do one for the Octy so screwed that idea up.

I look forward to hearing how it turns out then buddy :)

Had a piper on my v6 mg and it sounded awesome but I've not heard one on the octavia and the only clip I have heard it sounded a bit quiet.

Is a non res piper deep and poppy then on these?

very lol mine poped and banged for fun lol change up on the red line and youd get small explosions  lol

Mmm, does sound nice in fairness.

Can now compare to the custom when Vrades system is done.

Cheers for posting those up!

It all depends if the exhaust place im going to mandrel bends or crush bends.

I want optimal flow, if they dont im going to give pipewerx a ring in Ormskirk.

Yeah you only want mandrel, otherwise you may as well just get a cheapy universal rear box for noise as that's all you'd get if was crush bends really isn't it.

Don't see why places still do that as its not really beneficial.

Keep us posted on it buddy.

cant being doing crush bends!!

Hmm my local powerflow will do a 2.5" or a 3" cat-back and will only do crush bent - £275

Pipewerx are amazing quality and will do a 2.5" cat back all mandrel for £375 - Fully custom

or a piper system for £344 from Larkspeed?

DECISIONS! ERRMEGOD

Well at those prices it does seem a good choice for the Piper.. Although depending what you'd want from the custom one and will it be hugely different if you can go the extra £31 may be a worthwhile option as will be different from the rest.

Will it be as good performance wise as the Piper though or just more on the sounds??

Both the Pipewerx and the piper system will be 2.5" mandrel bent, so will both perform near the same.

With the pipewerx i can choose what i want so if i want more or less silencers, resonated or none resonated, tail pipes etc etc and you get a lifetime warranty, and you get to witness the guy making it so you can check out the quality of the mans work.

The piper is excellent all round it will produce good numbers with a De-cat however you only get the choice of non-res or res and 2 tail pipes.

Oh yeah I know the options are far greater with the custom one and I think in your description you have just highlighted the way you Really want to go :)

Go custom and be different, make it your own :D

Yeah that's what I mentioned before wasn't it, well for the extra £31 to have all the extra choice seems like a good option then.

What tint is that as it looks like will be a nice finish from how it shows on the pic. Possibly quite dark though asy flyeyes is darker than I was expecting on the Octy.. May end up with Lamin-X if I decide to keep them to tinted.

  • 3 weeks later...

Im afraid i didnt!

I sold those wheels as they rubbed like a bitch.

I recently cleaned it and machine polished it but the pad went bright red on the near side front door so its clearly been painted very cheaply with near to no lacquer!

Spolier keeps going pink no matter how much wax/sealant i stick on!

Also......

rear tyres are shot, front disks are shot, front left strut is shot. crank breather shot, exhaust shot

Getting them repaired - But i was looking a WRC spec occy which i love to death so im most likely sell this and buy that

i think the cure is to repaint using a good amount of lacquer...

well this month i will be purchasing some FK Coilovers, Powerflex topmounts and new bearings, 4x Khumo Ku39's tyres, Leon Cupra Spoiler, painting the chrome grill black, lamin-x headlights.

Month after im looking to get some new disks and pads, also mabye a piper or a custom exhaust.
