I am slightly disappointed as i would have had some potential bargains on my hands if you did strip it.... Whats the latest with it?

Everythings bolted up to the replacement engine, just awaiting some bits then ill be putting the new heart back in! Ill upload some pictures at somepoint

Though im missing the PVC hole.... Spoke to BBT and he said he's removed them... How would i run my catch can now without venting to atmosphere???

That idea is a bad idea....I could tap it into the returning intercooler pipe, but for the hassle just for emissions im just going to vent it down the wing.

bad idea? its a brilliant idea :yes:  i did that right back at the beginning and got shot down for it bad running and leaking boost

Venting the gases isnt going to affect anything! Unless these engine like exhaust gases that is.

 

Stick a filter on the end of the silicone pipe and throw it down the wing. JOB DONE....Might kill a few squirrels but otherwise nae bother

i never actually noticed any difference when i did it :giggle:

when i had smoke test it came out of the lower breather iirc you have to vent that aswell remember. i cant actually remember as its in the bulk erase now

Ill have a catch can.

Top and lower breathers T pieced into catch can and then the hose that would normally run to the PVC would be atmos.

Engines bolted up.

 

Things needed to do:

 

Bottom gearbox mount

Shafts

Wiring

Waterlines

Intercooler to fit

 

COming on now!

That's because there is a fair few wires on the Octavia, plus in wiring in my oil pressure gauge

Intercooler is being installed today.

Oil, water being ran through it for a while for leaks.

Going to try crack on and finish this this week.

 

Been out of work for a while so iv had no cash to play with but all has changed now so its on the go ahead again!
